Students at Central High School/Tri-C have been taking online courses with Education 2020 both in school and at home. Some have compleled classes online since Los Angeles Unified School District adopted this program in July, 2010. Online Classes Are Available to Central High/Tri-C Students Oct. 11, 2010 Central High School and Tri-C students have been taking classes online through the Education 2020, an online high school curriculum provider located at Phoenix, Arizona. Education 2020 provides all high school required courses and electives online to meet the State of California standards. All Central High/Tri-C students have user accounts to take advantage of this online credit recovery program. They may access the online courses both at school and at home with a computer connected to the internet. Many of them have already taken classes in addition to their regular assigned classes in order to make up their lost credits and accelerate their academic progress. Some already completed one or more courses since beginning of summer school. If 9th graders start taking one of more courses each semester online in addition to their regularly assign six classes, they will be able to graduate from high school at least a semester earlier. The LAUSD Instructional Technology Department and the Special Education Branch have worked together with district schools to bring this online curriculum to our students.
